Modern Slavery Statement

This statement is made by Malux Design and Build Ltd on a voluntary basis, reflecting the spirit of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps we take to understand and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains.

Malux Design and Build Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all of our business relationships. We have zero tolerance for slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking in any part of our operations or supply chains.

Our business

We are a design and build practice delivering bespoke residential construction and refurbishment projects across London. Our registered office is 31 Beaufort Gardens, London, England, SW3 1GH, and our company number is 16552893.

Our supply chains

Our supply chains include subcontractors and tradespeople, suppliers of building materials and fittings, and providers of professional and support services. We recognise that the construction sector can carry a higher risk of labour exploitation, particularly through the use of temporary or subcontracted labour.

Our policies

We expect everyone who works for us or with us to uphold our commitment to ethical conduct. We seek to work with subcontractors and suppliers who share our values and who comply with all applicable employment and human rights laws, including those relating to wages, working hours and the right to work.

Due diligence

To manage the risk of modern slavery, we:

• seek to engage subcontractors and suppliers with a track record of responsible and lawful employment practices;
• carry out checks on the right to work of individuals engaged on our projects;
• aim to build long term relationships with trusted partners; and
• encourage the reporting of any concerns relating to modern slavery.

Awareness

We work to ensure that those involved in our projects understand the signs of modern slavery and know how to raise concerns. Any concern reported to us will be taken seriously and investigated.

Responsibility for this statement and for our approach to modern slavery rests with the directors of Malux Design and Build Ltd.
